We restore listed and period buildings with crafts trained in lime, stone, oak and slate. Most projects start with a condition survey and a phasing plan so the budget tells you what must happen now and what can wait one or two seasons.
We work with conservation officers and historic-buildings consultants in the planning phase and keep one site manager from start to finish so you only ever speak to one person about your house.
Lime, stone, timber and slate
Condition surveys, masonry repair, lime rendering, sash-window restoration and traditional roofing.
Walk-around with a chartered surveyor, drone inspection of the roof and a written report with photographs and a phased budget.
Hand-cut indents, lime mortar repointing and replacement of damaged stones using locally sourced material wherever possible.
Three-coat lime render or interior plaster with hair-reinforced top coat, allowed to set without modern accelerators.
Strip back, glazing-bead repair, draught-strip and rebalanced cords with new brass weights — original glass kept whenever possible.
Re-slating with reclaimed Welsh or Cornish slate, lead flashings and gutters made on site by our roof team.
One project manager from listed-building application to handover, including site meetings, payment certificates and snagging.
