The room with the door always open
A run-on-a-shoestring centre kept open by a small staff team and a brilliant rota of volunteers. We host language classes, a parents' drop-in, a luncheon club for the over-70s, a teenage homework club after school and a Friday community kitchen open to anyone.
Most activities cost nothing or a token amount; the building is yours to hire when we are not using it ourselves. Wifi, kettle, accessible loo and a kind ear are always on.

Three-course shared lunch cooked by volunteers — pay what you can, no questions asked, vegetarian option always available.
Quiet study space for 11-16s with two volunteer tutors on rotation, free wifi and a fruit and biscuits table.
Big hall with stage, kitchen access and 80 chairs — perfect for clubs, classes, baby showers and small wakes.
Small carpeted room for committee meetings, counselling sessions, music lessons or a private chat — kettle and tea on tap.
