Slow work, made by hands you can meet
Our shop gathers the work of about thirty makers — potters, weavers, woodturners and bookbinders — all working within a half-day's drive of the door. Every piece on the shelf has a name behind it.
Drop in to browse, to find a wedding gift with a story, or to commission something one-of-a-kind. We'll introduce you to the maker, walk you through the technique and let you handle the work before you decide.
Opening Hours
Pieces made one at a time
Functional and decorative work from regional studios — plus commissions and gift wrapping.

Mugs, bowls and serving dishes from four local potters — each piece thrown, glazed and fired by hand.

Throws, table runners and cushion covers woven on traditional looms in linen, wool and undyed cotton.

Spoons, boards and salad bowls turned from local fruitwood — oiled and ready to use for decades.

Tell us what you have in mind — a christening gift, a centenary plate, a wedding bowl — and we'll match you with the right maker.

We'll wrap your purchase in unbleached paper with a hand-tied ribbon and a short note about the maker.

Once a month a different maker spends the afternoon in the shop, working live and answering questions.

What Our Clients Say
"I bought a serving platter for friends getting married. The card with the potter's name on it made the gift twice as good."
"Started a conversation, ended up with a hand-carved bowl with my daughter's name on it. Six weeks, beautifully done."
"I come in for one thing and leave with three. The team always knows which maker has just dropped off something new."
