The bench where instruments come back to life
A repair workshop run by two musicians-turned-luthiers. Most weeks we re-fret a beaten Telecaster, re-glue a school cello, valve-overhaul a 1960s trumpet and set up half a dozen acoustics. We work on guitars, basses, violins, cellos, mandolins and brass — what we don't do, we'll tell you up front and send you to the right specialist.
Drop off in person Monday to Saturday for a free assessment, get a written quote within 48 hours and a fixed turnaround you can rely on. Every job leaves with the strings or pads it came in with bagged, the bench notes attached and a six-month warranty on the work itself.

Setups, repairs and full restorations for stringed and brass instruments.
Truss-rod adjustment, action set to your preference, intonation, nut slot check and a fresh set of strings — your guitar plays like a different instrument.
Action lowered, saddle re-shaped, nut slots cut, intonation checked at the bridge — set up for fingerstyle or strumming as you prefer.
Old frets pulled, fingerboard levelled, new stainless or nickel-silver frets installed, dressed and polished, plus a full setup at the end.
Old horsehair removed, frog cleaned, fresh Mongolian or Siberian hair installed and tensioned — done by hand, ready for the next concert.
Ultrasonic clean, valves lapped, slides freed and re-greased, new corks and felts, water keys checked — back to silky, fast valves.
Cracks repaired, neck reset if needed, electronics rebuilt around original components, original finish protected — full written report on what was done.
