Lahore on the high street
We cook Punjabi and Karachi food the way our families do at home — karahi gosht over an open flame, slow-cooked nihari left to braise overnight, biryani layered with saffron rice and lamb shoulder. The naans are slapped onto the wall of a real charcoal tandoor, the kebabs are skewered to order, and we grind our own garam masala every Sunday.
We seat sixty in a bright dining room and another twenty on the terrace. Bookings are recommended for Friday and Saturday nights when families come for the long meal, and we keep half the bar tables open for walk-ins who fancy a kebab roll and a chai. We open at noon, last orders at half past ten.

Our current menu — discover it on-site or reserve in advance.

Lamb on the bone cooked in a karahi over an open flame with tomato, ginger and green chilli — finished with fresh coriander.

Saffron-scented basmati layered with marinated chicken thigh, slow-steamed under a sealed lid and served with raita and pickle.

Shin beef braised overnight in a heavily spiced gravy, served traditionally with naan, ginger, lemon and chopped coriander.

Seekh kebab, chicken tikka, lamb chops and chicken malai from the charcoal tandoor with mint chutney and warm naans.

Daal makhani, palak paneer, chana masala, raita, basmati and a soft naan — comes with a glass of lassi.

Hand-rolled paratha with omelette or aloo, mango pickle and a strong cup of doodh patti chai brewed in the pan.

What Our Clients Say
"Karahi gosht the way my khala makes it. The kitchen sent a bowl of nihari to share when they spotted us reading the menu twice — they know what they're doing."
"Booked the long table for ten on a Wednesday. Biryani was served from the dish in the middle of the table, the staff didn't blink at the dietary notes, and we were back at our desks by two."
"Their paratha breakfast is the closest thing to home in this city. The chai is brewed in the pan, exactly as it should be."
