About Us

An Iranian dining table, six days a week

We cook the Iranian home table the way our families do in Tehran and Isfahan — chelo with a crisp golden tahdig, slow stews like ghormeh sabzi and fesenjan that simmer for hours, and kebabs grilled on charcoal and brought to the table on a skewer with sumac and a charred tomato. Saffron is from Mashhad, the rice is two-rinsed Iranian basmati and the herbs are washed by hand.

We seat fifty inside, with a low platform of cushions for those who'd rather eat the way grandparents did, and a small terrace under the wisteria. Tea is on the house at the end of every meal, and Friday lunch — the long Iranian family meal — is our quietest, most generous service of the week.

Reviews

What Our Clients Say

"The tahdig was the kind my mother would say good things about, which is the only review that matters in our family. Ghormeh sabzi tasted like home."
Maya R.

Friday lunch with my mother

"Booked the sofreh feast for my partner's birthday. Plates kept coming for an hour, the kebabs were generous, and the tea at the end was a perfect closing note."
Oliver P.

Birthday dinner

"Brought my parents who are visiting from Tehran. They had opinions about the saffron — all of them positive — which is the highest praise they give."
Roya H.
