I tune by ear with electronic verification, on uprights and grands of every age — from school practice instruments to restored 1920s parlour pianos. Every visit starts with a moisture and pitch check, so you know whether a single tuning will hold or whether the instrument really needs a pitch raise first.
Most domestic pianos benefit from a tune once or twice a year, ideally in stable indoor weather. I leave a written record after each visit so the next technician — or me, in 12 months — can pick up exactly where we left off.

Single tuning at concert pitch (A=440) for an instrument less than a year out of tune. Includes a brief regulation check.
Two-pass service for pianos significantly below pitch — first a coarse pitch raise, then a fine tuning to settle.
Hammer-felt shaping and needling to soften a bright instrument or brighten a dull one — booked after a fresh tune.
Sluggish keys, double-strikes, lost motion: small regulation fixes that restore touch without a full action workout.
Per-note repair for sticking keys, broken springs or torn bridle straps — diagnosed first, then fixed in place.
Same-day fine tuning ahead of a recital, exam or recording — booked within four hours of the performance.
